Estimator

KCI WORKS is a commercial millwork manufacture looking for an experienced estimator. Our preferred candidate has experience in the custom woodworking industry, including: AWI standards, architectural veneers and hardwoods, custom architectural cabinetry and plastic laminate casework. This position will entail working directly with senior management to develop bid proposals, as well as working with clients, contractors and architects to define scope, value engineer projects, and close sales. Being familiar with AutoCAD and 2020 design software is certainly a plus.

 

The Estimator is responsible for accurately determining the manufacturing costs of architectural millwork/fixtures/display projects, including material, labor and overhead, while ensuring consistency with the overall KCI WORKS pricing strategy all while prioritizing profitability and quality. The Estimator will prepare and outline costs by analyzing blueprints and specifications, compiling material costs, estimating labor costs, requesting and collecting subcontractor pricing, calculating installation and delivery cost, and lastly finalizing, logging and submitting bids.

 

Custom Millwork/Cabinet Maker

The Custom Millwork/Cabinet Maker is responsible for fabricating cabinets/fixtures/displays to the quality level dictated by the nature of the project within the allotted job timeline. They will be expected to utilize their preexisting knowledge and expertise to succeed in their assigned duties. Equally, they will be required to have an open mind to learning new techniques and construction methods to ensure project success.

The Custom Millwork/Cabinet Maker must be flexible in their ability to work independently or as a team when completing set job assignments. The ability to read blueprints and cut bills will vastly improve the success of any candidate

 

Production Technician

Production Technicians are responsible for supporting the day-to-day workflow and ensuring team member success for each face of the company. Production personnel help facilitate information, materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete company projects within their designated time frames. Work will range from front office duties; to shop fabrication and assembly; and to shipping, receiving and installation duties.

The Production Technician’s goal is to streamline as many processes as possible for maximum workplace efficiency while maintaining safety standards. They will be required to possess a strong work ethic completing set tasks both individually and as a team member. The Production Technician must have strong multitasking, time management, and interpersonal skills to create maximum impact on workplace efficiency.
